The Little Places

Now obviously there are great fishing spots everywhere, but how to describe them? Another question might be, how to categorize them, like trout, fly fishing, and local spots. Well in this blog i will share with you my expirence with "The Little Places" the ones you miss because the spot is down a dusty old road, or that there is a sign saying "keep out". In this blog i will tell you where to look for this spots that are good for all ages and family fun. Most of these spots i went to with my family when i was a kid, and i hope you will bring your kids there too. These are my two favorite spots in the Sonora area, (near yosemite).

There are too many spots in the United States, so today i will only do spots in North California, where i grew up, and fished. Now you might not even get to the end of this blog without saying, why did i need to know this? If so, this isn't for you. If your reading this and are enjoying it, then great, have this fun, by now your probally planning a fishing trip, and need to know where to go. And these are the places for you.

1. Strawberry River.
This relaxing river located near yosemite, is where i caught my first fish, it is a place in my heart where it won't leave. if you want to go, here is a link http://www.forcegroupvacationhomesnetwork.org/vacation-rental/10070/USA-California-Gold-Country---High-Sierra-Yosemite-Pinecrest-Strawberry/ to a place where you can get a place to stay, and directions too the area. Now this place isn't a huge river where fish are jumping out of everything, no. This river is for the patient and for the *expirenced*, (*althought you don't need any). This Spot is a small river where you can fish, its a pretty calm river in some places, but in others its wild. This place is Perfect for family fun for kids ages 5+ and for adults of any age. So please take this spot into consideration. Use the link above and hook it up.

2. Stanislaus River.
This is more "main steam" fishing, it is way bigger than the Strawberry river, you can't even compare, so this is also in the same area as the Sonora area (near jamestown). I also went fishing here when i was a kid, but didnt like it, it was to big and well, i didn't catch anything, i was too inpatient. But that is for a kid, on the other hand it is great for a a day on the river, with a couple of beers. In this spot you will find rainbow and brown trout waiting to be caught, so get on down here and catch some fish. http://www.fishsniffer.com/maps/stanislausn.html
